FOUNDING THERAPIST
THERAPY | SPEAKING ENGAGEMENTS
Latisha McCoy, LPC PhD (candidate)
Free to Live Counseling Services provides a supportive environment where everyone feels empowered, safe, connected, and free. My name is Latisha McCoy. I am a wife, mother, author, and compassionate therapist based in the Philadelphia Tri-State Area. During my teenage years, I developed a curiosity for human behavior. While pursuing my undergraduate degree, I was known among my peers as an emotional support. Looking back, it is these guided experiences that make me view therapy as more of a calling than a profession.
I have been working in the mental health field for over 15 years in various roles such as family-based therapist, clinical supervisor, and counseling program director. Prior to founding Free to Live, I worked for one of the largest telehealth providers globally, serving clients across the United States and 20 other countries. It was my clients who encouraged me to start my own practice, and during the global pandemic, we launched Free to Live.
I want you to feel we are on this journey together. My system includes an eclectic style when utilizing therapeutic approaches and tailoring that approach to your specific needs. I often use cognitive-behavioral, rational-emotive, psychodynamic, and humanistic approaches. I believe you are the most important component of therapy. In order to see results, you must do the work. I look forward to helping you on your journey!

Dr. Elizabeth - LMHC
I am a licensed mental health counselor in Florida and Washington and have been a licensed counselor for over 25 years. As a pastoral counselor, I believe the sacred and the spiritual are integral to who we are and how we walk our walk. I earned my master’s degree in pastoral counseling from Loyola University in Maryland and my doctorate in education from Northcentral University in Arizona. My experience has focused on solution-oriented therapy, mindfulness training, and trauma-informed interventions. I enjoy working with veterans, adolescents, and people wrestling with change that accompanies stages and hard realities of life. I am drawn to Jungian psychology, and I employ imagery and symbolism as ways of understanding and reflecting.
I am an avid fan of labyrinths and find them to be useful tools for moving mindfulness and insight development. My interest in this area became my dissertation for the doctorate in education I earned in 2016.

Kathy - LPC
It is my belief that therapy must start in a safe and respectful space where individual and relational needs are compassionately understood. I work purposefully to provide a space where healing and growth can take place. Together, we will build a trusting relationship to identify changes you wish to make to support positive growth in your life. I have twenty years of experience in counseling psychology along with life experience as a partner, parent, artist, and mentor contributing to my approach.
I use a blending of theoretical approaches to facilitate change. These include a combination of cognitive-behavioral, Integrative, and family systems therapies. I believe that the most effective treatment addresses the whole person.
Therapy is a path to self-discovery. It calls for courage as well as active and persistent effort. I will honor your effort and purposefully seek to provide the tools and interpersonal skills to help you as you move further along on your journey to wholeness.
